I am a qualified language teacher (Pgce with QTS French and Spanish). Enhanced DBS checked through the Office of Standards of Education (OFSTED). I am a dedicated and dynamic practitioner. I am passionate about teaching languages and capital culture (French, Spanish and Italian).
I have taught a diverse range of classes and acquired different teaching strategies. I have taught French at KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Year 12). I have taught Spanish at KS3. I taught mixed ability classes which helped me develop a range of teaching and learning styles, including differentiating learning to individual needs. I have been tutoring for years for students of all ages and abilities, including adults.
Prior to my teacher training, I studied languages at Secondary School for five years which gave me a Trilingual Diploma – English, French and Spanish. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in languages and literature, translation and interpretation at Bologna University, Italy . I also completed a postgraduate course in translation – English into French and English into Italian, at Westminster University, London.
My Bachelor’s degree has given me a broad knowledge about language, emotional and mental development of a person learning additional language and excellent time management skills, especially as I had to work to supplement my income. Moreover, my Postgraduate Certificate in Translation has deepened my subject knowledge, since I had to explain and justify translation solutions.
